End of an Era!

It has come time to wean Esme and I am having a difficult time. Not with the process, but with the fact that I am doing it. She is almost 10 months and eats solid food great. Nursing never came very easy to me, but the thought of never doing it again is bitter sweet!
As I look back upon the sweet, quiet moments of nursing my babies, I get a little lump in my throat to know that this will be the last. You mothers who will head down this road, enjoy this beautiful process of nurturing.

Birthday Party!

I was finally able to get my pictures off of my card. Jonas had a great 7th birthday! Thanks to all who participated.
He loved all of the toys his aunts and cousins gave him!
He about threw this box, thinking we really had given him a bunch of wipes for his birthday! We talked him into opening it and he was oh, so excited about the new church clothes.
He is getting so tall that he grows out of his clothes as soon as we buy them. He is definitely different than all of my girls.
Buddy has been playing Hannah's pink nintendo for the last year and decided that is what he wanted, but black!
He now has the coolest bike in the world. He was always complaining that the old one hurt his hands! ????
Jonas is the biggest key-lime pie fan in the entire world! This was his birthday cake.
Bad Blurrrrr! I was not the photographer!
So, my niece Morgan found a great hair blog and tried out some of the styles on the girls.
We think this would make a great first prom do!
Hannah's was cute and quirky!
She had great curls the day after.
How Morgan got Maremaid to sit still to do this I need to find out. It was very princessy!

Maren loves band-aids! She has found them, no matter where I hide them in the house. She doesn't need blood, or even a scratch!

She grabs about three or four and wraps them around her pointer!
The day blur was baptized!

Blurrrr Blues!

Blur has gone to camera heaven! :( I was outside taking pictures of Maren and Esme yesterday, when I had a friend stop by to chat for a minute. I had left my camera sitting on the ground. The girls played for a few minutes while I was talking. Every few minutes I would have to pick up Esme and pull a chunk of dirt out of her mouth. I looked down at my camera and noticed that it was sitting in a wet spot, which seemed odd. I picked it up and It was drenched, which seemed really odd! I turned around and noticed a bucket of dirty rain water on the front porch. Realization hit right about the same time my friend asked, "Is that a real camera"? It used to be. It seems Maremaid had been dunking it in that yucky bucket! Arrrrgh! It's a good thing I had a friend nearby, or I don't know if Mare would still be with us. Poor blur doesn't turn on now and I am still trying to get Jonas' birthday pictures off of the card. I guess I will be getting a new camera for my birthday! Hopefully, this camera will get a better name than blur.

Jonas turns 7!

The night before Jonas turned 7, I asked him if he would like to know about the day he was born. Which kind of turned into a how babies come into the world talk. Anyway, I told him how the Dr. had to use suction to help him come out and that it made his head look a bit coney! I love how he came out knowing how to kiss!
Isn't he the cutest looking boy in the world. Notice the dimple in his right cheek!
I always hated cutting off his beautiful blonde hair. But my opinion has always been that a boy should look like a boy!
This is one of my very favorite pictures of Jonas. He is riding his cousin, Zack's, shoulders. He absolutely loves playing with his cousins. Wherever they come from to visit or wherever we go to see them, he has the best time ever. I love that he has two just his age. Lauren and Gabe!
If you know Jonas, you know that he loves Star Wars. On a trip to Texas, my brother just happened to have some light sabers hanging around. Jonas, Tucker, and Colton had a great time playing with them.
You would also know that Jonas is a geography buff, for a seven year old. He actually had most of the states memorized by the time he was five. He loves looking at maps and globes. He is always picking some place like the Middle East where he wants to go on his mission. Yikes! I guess it could happen in eleven years.
He is quite the scholar! He received the Soaring Eagle Award at school last year. An award given to kids who do extra activities and curriculum on top of what they are supposed to do for the year.
Jonas loves playing with all of his sisters. Especially when he can stack things on their heads.

He is very good about letting his sisters and girl cousins (13 of them), fix his hair.
He loves to jump on or off of the the furniture. Only the furniture upstairs is off limits.
Crazy Hair!
Sweet Face!
Jonas loved wheels from when he was just a little baby. As soon as he was coordinated enough to hold a car he would sit and spin the wheels on them. This was one of the wheels on one of Uncle Alan's tractors.

Jonas loves playing outside with his sisters too!

Ohhh! He looks so little here.
Jonas loves to go to his Aunt Sara's house! She caters to his every orange Cruch need!
He loves to play games on the computer. When he couldn't read, he had everything memorized and knew what to do!
He is the biggest helper!

Here he is being very goofy!

I have no idea what he will be when he grows up! He wants to do everything. This was his Fireman stage.
He always seems to be wearing a mohawk, yet I have never fixed his hair that way.
Here he is a little grown up!
He loves water now! It's a wonder what four years of swimming lessons will do!
Handsome, even with the goggle marks.

Easter 08'
If you know Jonas, you will also know that he has spent most of his holidays sick! He always seems to come down with some sort of virus on Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! This was Halloween last year, and yes he went to about four houses and came home with his candy bag and his fever.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JONAS!
