YW's at International Peace Gardens!

We had a great YW night where we learned how to take better photographs and a few tips on how to better use our cameras. The week after, we went to the gardens to use our new found skills. Even though it is at the end of the season, we got some great shots. I think I got more of the girls being goofy! (Bad me, I got a picture looking into the sun!)
Kelsie and Erika!
One of my better nature shots! If you know me well enough, you know I give a nickname to everything! Well, my camera is blurrr! Poor thing, it really isn't its fault that half of my pictures are blurry.
Beautiful foliage!
All of our active girls came to this activity. We have a great group!

Peach Harvest!

Saturday was canning day! It was alot of fun. Everyone in the house had their hands in this harvest.
Peeling Heaven!
We canned a whopping 10 quarts, and 24 pints.
I did say that everyone had a hand in the peaches!
Leaving the scene of the crime!
Exhaustion prevails!
Nap time turned into barbie time!

Did I mention that we bottled salsa too!
Just for everyone's information, Jonas has claimed this ring when Sara dies! Hee, hee!

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a lollipop?

I was just wondering how many other people count! I count everything these days. I used to never do this. It started a few years ago when I fell down the stairs at my house. I was carrying a big box and down I went. I thought I was at the end, but really had a few stairs left. I had a very bad sprain that took a few months to recover from. From that point on I started counting the steps when I went up or down them. Then it turned totally OCD! I started counting everything, steps, bites of food, how many rocks it takes in the rocking chair to get Esme to sleep. I now have to make myself stop counting things. I really wish that I had OCD with cleaning my house!

Work Party!

Josh's work had a party on Saturday at DDD Ranch. We went with the kids and had a great time. I brought our camera, but forgot the picture card at home. We had lunch then played games. Jonas and Hannah got to play some sort of knock you off the block game. They would hold these huge soft batons and try to knock each other off of the stand they were on. I was surprised that Jonas was able to take Hannah every time. I don't know why that surprised me?They had a bunch of big blow up slides and jumpers. Both Hannah and Jonas climbed the wall. They had a small petting zoo. Esme and I were knocked over by a baby goat. I was squatting down letting Esme pet and the goat jumped up on to her. We both went falling back into the pen. They also had horse rides. Hannah was a little upset that she had to have someone walk her horse. I guess she wanted to go riding off into the field. We got to go on a nice hay ride. We also had a mean game of tetherball. They also had the best face painters I have ever seen. We got pictures of the kids faces when we got home. It was a great day of fun for our family!

Butterfly on Flower!
Butterfly girl!
While we were at this party, I got to thinking about the relationships that you make while working. If you think about it, other than our family and maybe our ward, the people we work with are the ones that we spend the most time with. The relations that we make can last a lifetime.
I worked for about six years in a dentist office, and I grew to love the little group that I worked with. Yes, we had trials. But I loved those people. My boss, the dentist, became like a second father to me. The girls at work were like my sisters. We talked about everything.
I still keep in touch when we go in to have work done. I really don't miss getting up and getting kids to daycare. I don't miss the stress of not having a crown ready to go, or having to stay late to get something finished. But I do miss that family that I made at work.

Sick!

We went from Maren being sick to Esme being sick. It has not been very fun for anyone. She has had a fever and can't sleep at all! We are hoping that she will be able to get some rest tonight. This is day four and the fever is gone, so our fingers are crossed.
She does have some happy moments, like whenever the kitty is near.
