While I was sleeping!
First off, thanks to all of those that fed, drove, slept with, and loved my kids for the past two weeks. I would have to say that the week of Christmas this year has been the most painful of my life. First of all, I am missing my dad like crazy.
I did get a new do, a new flip video camera, and a new sony Cyber-Shot camera. All of the electronics had bit the dust earlier this month. I was not going to miss out on Chritmas morning.
Morgan and her family arrived in town and tried out the new camera.
It is always fun to have them back in town, and this year it was very handy!Josh and I had a stake temple night on the 22 December. We went around 6:30 p.m. and didn't get out till 10:00 p.m. My stomach was hurting, we decided that we needed a bit of dinner. I went to bed that night like normal. No problem until I woke up. I was have stomach problems again, so I took an hour long bath. The kids got themselves ready for school and I sent them out the door thinking I could make it till Hannah got home from school to help out with the little girls. A half hour after they left I new I was in trouble. I was having major pain in my in my right lower abdomen. I was basically on my hands and knees, rocking on the floor, crying. Maren was still sleeping, but Essie was up and going into hysterics. I tried to call Josh, with no luck. I decided that I needed to get to the hospital fast. I knew that Sara would be heading there anyway, so I gave her a call and said, "take me to the hospital". While waiting for her to come, I started throwing up. It scared Esme to death. She was running all over the house crying. I was lying on the rug in the bathroom when she came in once and brought me my pink, fluffy robe. For those of you that don't know, robey's are a very important item in our house. She tried to tuck it under my head. So sweet! Morgan arrived first and whisked Esme off to get dressed. Thanks! Sara arrived and got me into her car (I thought it was the longest ride of my life). Josh pulled up just as we were leaving. After 8 hrs. of on and off pain, I had surgery to remove my right ovary and a large mass that was causing problems. I woke up Christmas Eve and wanted to get out of there so badly. We were supposed to be headed south to the lodge with Josh's family.
So, Sara took pictures of Kelsie as she did her early Christmas. Thanks to my new camera.
Josh took Kels to the airport bright and early on Christmas Eve. While I was sleeping off the drugs.
Sara took the kids and some of our Chritmas packages and headed south. Josh came and picked me up and I checked out around 5:00 p.m. He packed up the rest of our stuff and away we went. I thought the ride to the hospital was bad, well this was worse. I was sick from all of the medication I was on and evey bump caused pain. When we arrived to this beautiful place, I went staight to bed.
I woke up for this! You might be amazed by all of the presents, but we did have six families staying in this huge eight bedroom lodge.
Essie had fun with Leah's gifts.
The girls loved the new kitchen.
Games! Our family is all about games!
Jonas with a new scooter that doesn't shoot flames.
Maren and Essie enjoyed opening gifts this year.
I think Essie got about five kitties for Christmas, it's a good thing she likes them.I must have been sleeping.
Essie's nature walk, still sleeping.
Did I mention that our family is crazy about game. I have the funnest videos playing these games. This is Sara trying to steal a chair.
Still sleeping!
Essie's nature walk, still sleeping.I slept for about four days. I got up and ate and went back to bed.
Hopefully, I will get the chance to go to the lodge again sometime.
