Busy Week!

My little nephew Jasper came for a visit! He is such a cute roly-poly baby! I wish he was going to be closer!
Here he is with Nana. Doesn't he look like my dad! So glad we have a Griswold baby.

I was a busy bee this week. I canned salsa, and I canned white and concord grape juice! Yum!
The grapes were very bee friendly, hence the busy bee comment.

Now, I have this neighbor whose two apple trees are breaking branches it is so loaded down with apples. I am going to ask them if I can pick them, you might ask why considering I have my own apple tree. Well, it has worms! Yuck! How do you juice apples by the way? I need timely tips.

Labor Day Weekend!

What a weekend! We had so much fun. Here is Es in front of our home, right outside our home.

The first night Sara, Maren, Becky, Leslie, Hannah, Es and I slept in here.
We had a bit of a make up party!

Whit was the only one that participated!

The meal was tasty!

We had to get a blaze going for our smores!

Lots of fun was had on the tramp!

Jonas ended up sleeping on it!

Here is where Noah slept, but all of the kids had to try it out!

Don't you think it looks a bit like a prayer rug for our fellow Middle Eastern man!

The next morning was yummy too!

Chocolate waffles!

.......and breakfast burritos.

Whit and Les brought down a little dance game we all know!

Everyone participated.

Maren was involved in every, single song!

We had a birthday party for Whit, but I think Sara got all of those pictures.

For Labor Day, we headed up (with about half of the valley) to Silver Lake. It was crowded, but it was a lot of fun. So, I for one am glad we did it.

Nana had a great time!

I don't think I got a pic of the food. What!

The food, the food, the food.

It was good.

The view was even better!

There was a race around the pond, which I think is about a mile!

The contestants were as follows:

Noah, who came in first.

Kelsie, second.

John, third.

Leslie, who swears she was first.

And Arden, who got stuck with Maren as a partner for the race.

The rest of us enjoyed our nice walk in the cool, fresh air.

Labor Day Weekend!

Just so you know, we are having a camp out in our back yard! Friday will be the big night, but we will be leaving the tent up all weekend. Just in case anyone wants to camp on a different night. I haven't checked the weather, but hopefully it will be wonderful out. If you plan on coming we are providing dogs and smores, so bring something to share (i.e. - salad, drinks). We won't plan on camping out on Sat. night, but all other nights are game. My family is heading up the canyon to Silver Lake (Big Cottonwood Canyon) for a picnic on Monday at 12:00 p.m. Please let me know if you are going to join us.
