Mischief!

I cannot tell you how much trouble Esme has been getting into. Every time I turn around she has made some sort of mess. I really don't think any of my other kids were like this (other than when Kelsie and Arden were left alone together, ex. Arden's butch cut). I ran a quick errand this morning and left Es safe at home with her dad on the computer. I returned to find a stool and medicine all over the counter (and an entire box of bandaids opened). I knew it had to be Essie, but I still asked Josh if he had gotten into the medicine cabinet. He replied, no! I found Essie with pink dripping down her chin. I asked her if she had gotten into the medicine cabinet and she said, yes , it's yucky! Pepto, I agree is yucky! Luckily it was, and she didn't eat more than one pill.
Sheesh!

Funny!

So, I got a bit frustrated yesterday and Maren happened to be home from school. I was getting a bit mad at something I can't even remember. Maren piped up and said, "Mom, don't get mad get glad." What a funny girl to pick that up!

Esme turns three!

Still trying to figure out my blog! Esme turned three on Jan. 6th.
Whit and I worked all afternoon on her cake. It was our first attempt at fondant. Now that we know what we are doing, the next attempt will be better.

She got lots of barbies this year. Two by way of France. She loved them all! She sat all through Tangled, her first movie! Her Nana got her Rapunzel for her birthday!

Did I mention that we had some extra guests this year. We were going to have just a very small party this year due to Josh's lack of job, but Leah and Lily decided to come visit and we are so thankful. Morgan got all of the pictures for me, since my camera is done for. I go through cameras like Maren goes through undies (inside family joke). Thanks to Julie for having her baby right at Essie's birthday!

She couldn't wait to get all of her toys out of their packaging!

Sara picked up the cutest doggie ever! Esme sleeps with it (if only she would sleep in her own bed).

Whit made this cute cradle for all of Esme's beloved dolls. The little girls actually found it the night before and had turned it over and they were all three riding it like it was a sideways rocking horse. Wish I had a pic of that!

Esme had a bit of trouble blowing out her candles this year. She got two of them out before we even finished her song and then it took a few tries to get the last one out.

Don't ask me where all the little kids were that are usually helping blow out all candles.

It was a very sweet third birthday for her, thanks to all of you who helped us out and gave such great gifts to her.
