Esme!

We decorated our tree this past Monday and the very next morning Esme ran out as fast as she could to look at the tree.  She soon came to our room and told Josh that Santa didn't bring her any toys.  I guess we should have explained that it wasn't Christmas Eve yet!

The papers aren't quite in, but all of the interviews are out of the way and we hope that early next week downtown will have the paperwork.
We are so excited and proud of Kelsie for making this decision.  It is a bit of a right of passage that I think will help her to grow in so many ways and she will be so blessed for doing it.  I feel she has such a personality that will draw people to her.  I feel like Mosiah trusting her to the Lord that she will be protected and that she will be sent where she is needed most!
Can I say how thankful I am for all of the sister missionaries that have gone before her in our family.  What great examples!
So now the wait to see where she will be sent.  I talked to her last night and she feels like she will be sent somewhere cold.  Strange, but that is the impression.  She did mention Palin's Alaska and Scotland.  My thoughts are Ireland, but I have never been close on choosing these calls!  Josh thinks Madrid, Spain.

So now we want to hear what your thoughts are?

my fingers are working, so it is high time for a post!

I have been doing a lot of movie watching lately, so here is a little quiz!
1.“Out of the way! We are in the throes of an exceptional emergency! This is no occassion for sport- there is lace at stake!"
2. “In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.”
3. “Piracy is our only option.”
4. "I must throw a party for her. Otherwise everyone will feel at once how much I dislike her."
5. "I do not want to possess you, I want to marry you, because I love you!"
6. “I can listen no longer in silence. I must speak to you by such means as are within my reach. You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it, eight years and a half ago. Dare not say that man forgets sooner than woman, that his love has an earlier death. I have loved none but you. Unjust I may have been, weak and resentful I have been, but never inconstant. You alone have brought me to Bath. For you alone, I think and plan. Have you not seen this? Can you fail to have understood my wishes? I had not waited even these ten days, could I have read your feelings, as I think you must have penetrated mine. I can hardly write. I am every instant hearing something which overpowers me. You sink your voice, but I can distinguish the tones of that voice when they would be lost on others. Too good, too excellent creature! You do us justice, indeed. You do believe that there is true attachment and constancy among men. Believe it to be most fervent, most undeviating, in F. W.

I must go, uncertain of my fate; but I shall return hither, or follow your party, as soon as possible. A word, a look, will be enough to decide whether I enter your father's house this evening or never.”
7. "No, I don’t think I will kiss you, although you need kissing, badly. That’s what’s wrong with you. You should be kissed and often, and by someone who knows how."
8. "My heart is, and always will be, yours."
9. "I’m scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I’m with you."
10. "I rode through the rain! I'd - I'd ride through worse than that if I could just hear your voice telling me that I might, at least, have some chance to win you!"
11. "Look at these! Silk, pure silk! I'll bet her mother spun 'em!" (hint: And my secret love's no secret any more.)
12. "You transfix me quite. I feel I can speak to you now of my lovely one. For you've met her and you know her. She's a rare one, isn't she?"
13. "Marry me. Marry me, my wonderful, darling friend."
This is all for tonight, now you all know what I have been watching.  The winner can sign my cast.

May Days!

Mayday is right!  I needed the big crafter (Whit) to come over and help me get the girls garden on the wall.  I love this little place to read in their bedroom!

This is a mirror I had laying around the house and decided to put these felt flowers around it and hang it up in the girls room!

I wanted a growth chart for my kids.  Again, Whit helped me out with this!  Now I just have to go back and get all of my kids measurements from their baby books!

This is what my kids spend their time doing after school when all of their homework is done.

Nana had a very nice time at a Red Hatter's convention!

Tsunami!
We are very creative in finding a use for everything at our house!

Josh and I took a little work trip that was AMAZING!
First of all, I love Park City!  It is one of my favorite places to visit that is near our home.
We had fun in the pool and at the outlet factory!
And we had the most amazing food!
So, thank you very much Cypress Credit Union!
Can't wait till next year!

And thanks to Wintny, which is what Essie calls her, for taking such great care of the kids.

Is anyone else having issues with the new posting look?

These are all backwards, but I didn't know how to use this new setup.
Here is Kelsie after her wisdom teeth surgery!
Ha, ha, ha!
 Before!
She came home to celebrate her birthday with us.
My little French nieces came halfway across the world to holiday with us.
We had a very good snowstorm and took great advantage of it.
I think this was the only storm we got this year that left snow on the ground.
We had to work quickly before it all melted, but had a nice little sled hill.
 We went to the planetarium!
 Moon Walking!
Queen of Mars!

Easter Week!

This year for our big Easter egg hunt, Sara made each of the kids their own treasure hunt to go on. They had to follow a trail of pictures or description to find an Easter egg at each place. Here's the participating group!
Hannah found an egg up here.
Jonas trying to find the right bush to look under.
Dad helped Maren find her treasures.
The new mushroom was a perfect place to rest Essie's basket.
Maren needs a larger basket, I think!
Easter morning was very fun. That Easter bunny thought she was being tricky hiding our baskets this year, but Maren woke up early and found them all before anyone else had a look.
Goodies for all!
Esme enjoyed her bubbles.
Again, Maren needs a bigger basket!
The kids looked fab for church on Sunday!
GQ man!
I think this is the last year I will get them in the same dresses.
She has been pulling cheesy grins lately.
It is quite the project trying to get numerous kids to look and smile at the camera.
We also had a little visitor the week of Easter. My nephew Jasper and his folks came to town. He is the cutest baby I have ever seen. Of course I say that about all babies that are brought around, but he has the cutest brown curly hair and it doesn't hurt that he looks just like my dad.
Two days after Easter, we had a bit of a snow storm. The snowflakes were the size of a silver dollar and would melt as soon as they hit the ground. I've never seen them that large!
I have been working on my new knitting skills since my sister-in-law Liz showed me how at Christmas time. The blue washcloth was my first attempt and turned out fairly well. The orange and blue was my second and turned out a bit crazy. The knitting is good, but I have knitted a different pattern on the top and left side. I am going to have to get back with Liz and see what I am doing wrong. I do enjoy it though and it makes for some hand work while I am watching the tele.
